From renewed management to sustainability, MEGH drives market transformation with innovative product launches.
At Abrafati Show 2025, the company showcased technologies that combine high technical performance and environmental awareness, from biodegradable waxes to innovative textures; its portfolio surprised the paint industry. A chemistry in action that translates innovation and commitment to the future.
After undergoing a corporate management restructuring last year, MEGH intensified its investments in innovative and differentiated product launches. A leader in wax, emulsion, and dispersion technology with a focus on innovation and sustainability, the company participated in the Abrafati Show 2025 and presented four strategic pillars of its portfolio: MEGH®PRINT PTFE FREE solutions (Teflon-free), biodegradable waxes, hydrophobicity technologies, and textures.
“Participating in the Abrafati Show is always a strategic opportunity to demonstrate how the company is at the forefront of the sector, combining materials science with real sustainability. Our commitment is to offer solutions that anticipate regulatory trends and meet the demands of clients worldwide,” stated Ricardo Dittmer, Technical Director and one of the founders of MEGH.
Among the highlights, the MEGH®PRINT PTFE FREE line replaces the use of Teflon in formulations, meeting international regulatory requirements. The line of biodegradable and bio-based waxes has achieved up to 100% biodegradability in a short period of time, according to OECD 301BC and ASTM D6866 tests, offering safe alternatives for paints, packaging, and cosmetics. The hydrophobic solutions, in turn, have increased the durability of wood coatings, floors, and architectural paints, while the MEGH PRINT line has enabled finishes with different textures and mechanical resistance.
The company’s environmental commitment is part of a strategy initiated two decades ago. The company invests in recyclable raw materials, renewable energy, and international certifications such as Ecovadis, Bio-based (USA), and biodegradability (Brazil and Europe). Its technologies have been validated in laboratories in Brazil, Europe, and the United States, ensuring international credibility.
Part of the portfolio has entered the global patent process, including biodegradable synthetic waxes, which have contributed to the reduction of microplastics and the carbon footprint in various production chains.
“Our vision is clear: we want to be recognized not only as wax producers, but as developers of solutions that combine high technical performance and sustainability. That’s what drives us,” concluded Dittmer.
